BPAA Member Centers Encouraged to Introduce New People to Bowling, Generate New League Bowlers and Win Their Share of $10,000 in Cash and Prizes
ARLINGTON, Texas – Proprietors of BPAA member centers have an opportunity to be part of a national effort to introduce new people to bowling and develop new fall league bowlers using the industry’s highly successful learn to bowl program, Bowling 2.0. And, by introducing new people in their community to bowling and generating new league bowlers, proprietors and their center will have a chance to win their share of $10,000 in cash and prizes!
October has been designated National Learn To Bowl Month and every BPAA member center is encouraged to conduct a learn to bowl program using Bowling 2.0 and then roll bowlers into a short season program to start by November 1. The majority of bowling centers in America floor their traditional fall leagues between mid-August and mid-September, making October a great opportunity for proprietors to fill their open lanes with new bowlers.
“Learning to bowl should be easy and fun and Bowling 2.0 does just that,” said BPAA Vice President of Business Development Bart Burger, adding, “It also makes teaching bowling easy and fun for proprietors. Plus, it gives proprietors a great opportunity to generate new league bowlers from folks who may not have thought about joining a league before.”
All BPAA member centers will be divided into three divisions based on lane size: under 16 lanes, 16-24 lanes, and 25 lanes or more.
The top five centers in each division will be recognized with cash prizes:
1st - $1,000
2nd - $750
3rd - $500
4th - $250
5th - $250
Winners will be determined by the number of new league bowlers “per lane” rolled over from the Bowling 2.0 program in October. Winning centers can use their prizes however they wish: recognize a staff member, a group prize or any way to help generate a successful program.
As a Grand Prize, the top performing center will win a fabulous onsite party for its staff and their new league bowlers along with a visit from Bowling 2.0 instructor Carolyn Dorin-Ballard for onsite coaching during the league session.
Bowling 2.0 works. Over 700 BPAA member centers already have a Bowling 2.0 kit in their center. Results from nine test centers, representing different markets around the U.S., have been amazing: averaging 39 participants per center and 27 bowlers per center who roll into a short season program after Bowling 2.0 – a 70% conversion rate!
