Bowling’s Premier Annual Convention And Trade Show Returning To Its Favorite Destination

ARLINGTON Texas - Once again Las Vegas is the destination for the International Bowl Expo 2009 (IBE09), the bowling industry’s premier annual event.  The 2009 theme is, “We’re On A Roll,” and thousands of bowling industry professionals are expected to roll into the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and Mandalay Bay Convention Center June 21-25 for a jam-packed week of information, education, networking and fun.

Bowling center owners, operators, managers, bowling suppliers, pro shop owners/managers and various other industry leaders will have a chance to roam the trade floor and visit approximately 800 exhibit booths and nearly 300 companies showcasing the latest trends, bowling-related products and services, marketing ideas, profit center opportunities and tools designed to help build their businesses and spread the excitement of bowling throughout their communities.

Education is a big part of IBE09 and this year 50 seminars and workshops are scheduled to cover nearly every aspect of the bowling business.  Key industry leaders, thinkers, speakers and trainers from within and outside the bowling industry will be on-hand to provide fresh ideas and innovative concepts in areas of Bowling Management, Marketing, Food and Beverage Operations, as well as Training and Youth Bowling.  Other sessions will cover Pro Shop Operations, Coaching, Promotions, Family Entertainment Centers and Small Centers.

The list of topics is extensive as well.  Among the session titles to choose from: 8 Great Ways To Build Sales And One Really Lousy One, Center Security, Marketing Your FEC, Vending Games And Redemption In Small Centers, Converting Your Center To An FEC, Lock-ins: How To Add An 8th Day Of Revenue, How To Operate A Successful Pro Shop, Generation Z and How Increase Food Profits.

Concurrent with the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America (BPAA) membership and business meeting are the International Bowling Pro Shop Instructors Association (IBPSIA) annual conference, the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Coach’s Summit, the Armed Forces Bowling Conference and the Bowling Writer’s Association (BWAA) annual meeting.

Presentation of the 2009 Bowling Industry Service Awards will be among the festivities during the show as will the popular Trade Floor Treasure Hunt and Kids Day with activities geared toward younger guests.  Throughout the convention there will be numerous other contests, cash giveaways and celebrity autographs!  And for the fifth year, it’s the International Bowling Karaoke SuperStar Finalist contest.  And, to close out the show, attendees will be dancing like it was, “Saturday In The Park” when legendary Grammy Award-winning band, Chicago takes the stage.
