Fashion Police To Be On The Carpet During Hall Of Fame Salute
ARLINGTON Texas - Joan Rivers will not be at Bowl Expo but that doesn’t mean no one will be watching who’s-wearing-what at the Hall of Fame Salute at International Bowl Expo 2009. Bowling’s self-proclaimed "Fashion Maven," Jackie Wyckoff, plans to be front and center on the runway and inside the venue checking out what the best in bowling and their guests are wearing.
If you plan to attend the event, Wednesday evening, June 24 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, you might want to pack a little something special in your suitcase.
Similar to what she did at the PBA 50th Anniversary Gala in January, Wyckoff will be on the lookout for the be-decked, be-dazzled and bee-utiful of the bowling industry during this special night at Bowl Expo. And when it’s all over, she’ll dish on all the "fashionistas" in attendance. So while the Hall Salute is normally a casual affair, you might what to re-think your wardrobe for the night.
The Salute to Bowling Cocktail Party and Silent Auction benefits the Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame, whose mission is to preserve bowling’s rich history, to honor bowling’s greatest names, like BPAA’s Victor Lerner Award recipients and to use that history in promoting the sport.
The Hall of Fame salute is bowling’s No. 1 sports auction. Along with the raffle, attendees will mix and mingle enjoying food and drink while meeting Hall of Fame members and the 2009 celebrity inductee, NFL Hall of Fame great, Lynn Swann.
It will be a grand time for all and one where you’ll want to leave your Bermuda shorts and knee-high socks back in your room.
After all, bowling’s fashion Diva will be watching.
