BOWLOPOLIS VOLUME 1 DVD IS NOW AVAILABLE
ARLINGTON, Texas – A compilation of
the first eight episodes of the Bowlopolis video series is now available.
The Bowlopolis Volume 1 DVD contains the first season of the popular cartoon
series that follows the adventures of 10-year-old Layne Kegler. The DVD
features new packaging and will come with a booklet, the Bowling Basics guide,
to help young bowlers learn the sport.
“The Bowlopolis series has been very well-received by a key segment of young
bowlers,” said International Bowling Campus Director of Youth Development Chad
Murphy. “It has incredible animation, and the storyline is engaging and
educational. We are pleased to be releasing the series in a new packaging
format that will prove more versatile and add value for proprietors.”
In the series, Layne’s father is kidnapped by the Evil Kingpin and, to rescue
his dad, Layne must defeat the Evil Kingpin in a game of bowling. However,
there is a slight problem – Layne doesn’t know how to bowl. But with some help
from his dog, Reset, Layne gets rolling in the right direction.
The volume 1 DVD, available for proprietors to purchase, is designed to present
bowling education that is instructive and fun for young bowlers. Center
managers may use the video as a league incentive, include in birthday party
packages or sell directly to customers.
The DVD also will be one of the benefits of the new USBC Roll ‘N Grow
membership, the United States Bowling Congress membership designed specifically
for children age 7 and younger.
The DVD series is one part of the Bowlopolis experience for youth bowlers. The
Bowlopolis website (bowlopolis.com) features games, puzzles, coloring pages and
videos. Youth bowlers also can join the Bowlopolis Kids’ Club for access to
more special features.
Bowlopolis is a joint program of the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of
America and USBC.
