Justin Wing Breaks Strike Challenge Jackpot
ISLAND LAKE, ILLINOIS – Justin Wing, Brainerd MN, was the only winner of David Traber’s National Strike Challenge for the week ending November 25. By striking in the 3rd, 6th and 9th frames of each game, plus the first ball in the 10th frame of the third game, Wing wins the entire Strike Challenge pot, containing $334.50. Bowling in the Monday Nite Maniacs league at Jacks House in Brainerd, he had also entered the optional Super Strike Challenge. Wing therefore had a chance at winning both pots if he could strike on his final two shots in the 10th frame. Unfortunately, the 25 year old warehouse worker left a split on the next ball, resulting in the Super Strike Challenge jackpot carrying over to the following week.
David Traber’s National Strike Challenge is a nationwide strike jackpot program for league bowlers. By entering at the bowling counter for $2 before they bowl their 3rd frame, and then striking in each of the designated 10 frames, league bowlers will win an equal share of the weekly (Monday through Sunday) jackpot with all other bowlers who win that week. For an additional $1, bowlers can also enter the Super Strike Challenge, which is a separate jackpot, paid out to bowlers who successfully complete the Strike Challenge and then finish the 10th frame of the final game with strikes on both of the 11th and 12th shots. |
